Chamonix Trip

Last week I took few days to visit the Black Crows head office in Chamonix. I felt it was super important to meet the team in person.

I met with with the customer service team and the management team to discuss how we can improve our service to our retail partners for next season. Super positive outcome and real commitment from all sides.

I also managed to get a few hours on snow. I tested the Serpo, all mountain ski. There is something cool about skiing Black Crows in their home town!

The Serpo was a prefect ski for the conditions, a small amount of fresh snow over night, freshly groomed pistes and variable off the sides. At 93mm with a 20m radius and a titanal layer these skis were super responsive. They smashed through the crud off the sides of the piste and the slight rocker at the tip helped them float. They really came alive on the piste when you push them, tip them up and get really active….wow!! Super responsive and edge hold for days. A really good option if you can only take one ski.

It was also the first outing of my Salewa Sella Responsive 3L jacket and pants. I was super impressed with the fit, functionality and ruggedness of this outfit. A very well thought out outfit and it looks great.

It was a short trip but super productive. I was much easier to travel than I was expecting, as long as you have all the required tests, PLF etc in order and I’m looking forward to spending more time in Chamonix in the future.

Thanks to the Black Crows team for hosting me
